The Devil A Hard Time
Ephesians 6:10,1110Finally,
my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 4Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; Billy Sunday once was asked "Do you know the devel?" "Yes i know him well. I've done business with him, was Sunday's reply. There are two things I want to point out to you today. 1.
There is a devil.
2. Those who do not accept the fact there is a devil, do not know what he does.... We have many examples of those in the Bible who gave him a hard time. I>Joseph was tempted but He did not yield Genesis 39:6-20 A.Young and old alike are preyed upon by this kind of women Proverbs 6:25,27,-29,32 25Lust
not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her
eyelids.
26 For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread: and the adulteress will hunt for the precious life. 27 Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned? 28 Can one go upon hot coals, and his feet not be burned? 29 So he that goeth in to his neighbour's wife; whosoever toucheth her shall not be innocent. 30 Men do not despise a thief, if he steal to satisfy his soul when he is hungry; 31 But if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house. 32 But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul. B. Put up your guard. You men that work at a place where you come into constant contact with women, my suggestion to you is to set up a barrier from the begining. Do
not allow a first name friendship to begin. You are Mr. So & So
to
all the women.
You are not Mr. Wonderful!! C. You will lose your character, your inocence, and your virtue, Your family, your position, You will pay the consequence the rest of your life and the life of you children'schildren. A manworked in a coal mine. He promised his daughter that he would take her on a tour of the coal mine. On the day he was to take she dressed up in a beautiful white dress. The father explained that she could not wear a white dress. "Sweetheart, you may wear your beautiful white dress down into the mine, but it will be ruined when you come out. It will never be pretty again." . Daniel 3:1II> THE THREE HEBREWS WERE THRETENED BUT THEY WOULD NOT BOW 6-18 16Shadrach,
Meshach, and Abed–nego, answered and said to the king, O
Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.
A. The devil has always insisted that a Christian bow to him. He has his
idols in the world.17If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. 18But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. 1.
Money.
2. pleasure 3. self interest. FLESH - H SELF III> Job suffered but he would not deny his God. Job 13;15 15Though
he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways
before him
IV> THE CHIDREN OF RECHAB WOULD NOT DRINK WINE JER.35:5,8 5And
I set before the sons of the house of the Rechabites pots full of wine,
and cups, and I said unto them, Drink ye wine.
6 But they said, We will drink no wine: for Jonadab the son of Rechab our father commanded us, saying, Ye shall drink no wine, neither ye, nor your sons for ever: 8Thus have we obeyed the voice of Jonadab the son of Rechab our father in all that he hath charged us, to drink no wine all our days, we, our wives, our sons, nor our daughters; V> HANNAH KEPT ON PRAYING IN THE FACE OF WHAT APPEARED TO BE GOD'S DENIAL 1Samual 1:10 10And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore A.
She was mocked
B. She was accused of being drunk C. She prayed untill the answer came vs.17 D. The devil will do all ion his power to stop you from praying.
